it will ask you on your application, you might have to explain... and you should.

I had a couple misdemeanors on my record when I applied. I didn't lie about them, and one of them was "erased" as well, but I was truthful about all of it and it didn't matter to anyone. Only one school I interviewed at asked me to explain about the situations, but I just explained how I wasn't that same person anymore. I got 6 interview invites (took 4 of them) and got accepted to 3 schools despite my slight criminal history.

Similar situation....I have a fairly long record of misdemeanors. I got into 8 of the 9 schools I interviewed at, and got into every school that wanted me to explain all misdemeanors. They don't care if you've been caught drinking in college, but don't get a felony.

oh darn...i should dig up those bodies and hide them in a safer place then..... 😱

its better to tell them about it than have them find out later because they are going to think you lied and have a misdemenor than just a misdemeanor.

go to the court house or the police and get a copy of your records. If they did erased the misdemenors the paper should be clear. If they still there, you can dispute them since you said you took the program. other wise, you should come up with a very mature excuse for your interviews.

What's there to get? This is a public forum full of users with anonymous handles. He can get answers to his tough predental questions this way and nobody will know him from Jack down the road.

Well if stats ever get associated with the name, it won't be hard to figure out. I know for a fact that Adcoms look at this site (I talked to one about it.) Not that they would necessarily take the time to do it, but they may be more likely to try to figure it out if it contains info with criminal history. Just be careful if you are going to do this and change your name for any unrelated posts. Why risk it?
