Hi all,

I am a biology major in my senior year looking for advice on what I should do after I graduate this coming spring. I am torn between either doing a postbacc to strengthen my gpa or do extracurriculars(work, volunteer, shadow, etc.). Unfortunately I had a rough year in which at the time I had not yet decided to pursue medicine. My gpa has had an upward trend ever since. My gpa by year goes as such; Freshman=3.59 Sophomore=2.77 Junior= 3.7 with my senior year expected to be 3.8+. Based off of my math should end with a cumulative gpa ~3.5. I have not yet taken the MCAT yet and plan to take it at a time when I can devote the study time it deserves.

A postbacc would definitely benefit me if I did well(obviously), however given my financial situation I would prefer to avoid it if I can because of the cost.

Thanks in advanced.
