I'm no expert, but with a 4.0 SGPA and a decent MCAT score (32 and up, maybe even 30) I think you'd be fine if you applied broadly.

No.....smp is to cover a bad gpa. You don't have a bad gpa

Based on how mcat comes out, apply reasonable Md and DO

I'd say avoid doing an SMP. Take the MCAT and do as well as you can, and maybe take an upper level science class or two at a lower-cost option like your state school. Save the $$. Good luck!
