Hello everyone,

I took Step 1 just today, and got Level 1 coming up in 6 days. I solely used UWorld for boards prep, so I need to figure out how to cram OMM. Should I get COMBANK or Comquest for practice?

My baseline OMM knowledge is average at best; I am thinking of just reviewing viscerosomatics, sacrum and maybe Chapman's, but at the same time I am worried/neurotic that NBOME will pull a "gotcha" and instead put questions on low-yield topics. Thank you!

Only if you enjoy wasting your money.

I would just do the turnup2omt deck and call it good. Takes like 5 hours to get through it. Maybe brush up on rib/sacrum/cranial dx. From what I remember, all of the OMM was either gotcha stuff I had never heard of, or very easy. I wouldn't put too much effort and time into it.

Normally I actually do recommend getting combank/comquest because in addition to the OMM, the question style is quite different. With six (I guess now five) days to go, I’m not sure that it’s really worth it.

Thank you for the reply. I will try to focus on the high yield stuff. If you could remember, how much OMM did you have on your Level 1?

I should have done Level 1 specific qbanks here and there along the way. I did take one of the COMSAEs because of school in the beginning of the dedicated, and received ~460 at the time. Hopefully Level 1 is somewhat similar to COMSAEs!

Your school library may have a COMQUEST/COMLEX subscription (somewhere on the library link).

I felt like the COMSAE questions were slightly helpful for getting used to the tone of the question stems. More importantly it teaches you the pace of COMLEX exams. Theres alot more questions and you kinda don't have time to read through the entire question stem in depth.

if not TurnuptoOMT is more than enough.

Took COMLEX today. You all weren't kidding that COMLEX is a poorly written exam compared to Step 1. I wished I had taken Step 1 twice instead...
