Should I go to my USC interview?

lol. You know why this is such a big fight?? It's because Lauramac is considering Northwestern and ctwickman is a northwestern homer. He is just trying to convince her to go to Northwestern over SC.

I had a great time at the beach this past weekend. It was pretty crowded, with tons of people walking, playing beach volleyball, and biking. It was great. All of that said, USC is nowhere near these places, and you are hardly even in the good parts of Los Angeles. I wouldn't go on the interview if I were you. The school is great for the first two years, but the residencys suck and you will compromise your chances later on in life going there rather than other places that are better.

I lived in LA for five years - went to UCLA for undergrad - and for the 1st 2 years I hated LA. However, the city grows on you...I ended up considering LA my 'home' at the end of my college career. I am from Guam - born and raised (local) - I've been to many of the major US cities (NY, Chicago, SF, Seattle, DC, Boston) and many of the major cities around the world (Tokyo, Madrid, Paris, Hong Kong, Sydney)...yet I would choose to live in LA over most, if not all those places (yeah - call me crazy). I grew up on an island...so the warm weather is definitely a huge factor for me (plus the great diversity/culture the city has to offer). So much so that USC-Keck is my first choice (over UWashington!). Laura - good luck at your interview...my advice: if you're willing to take a chance on a new city, LA's not a bad bet!
