I just got my scores and they are much worse than the first time i took them in January. I know I want to be a Pharmacist but I dont know if i will look good on paper to these Universities. I have cumulitive GPA of 3.2 my prereq GPA is a little better, and i got a 73 on my PCAT's, I will be graduating with a bachelors degree in May of 08, oh yea and I do not have any Pharmacy experience, my cousin is a pharmacist and my dad was one for a long time so i know the job pretty well but no one wants to hire me because i dont have any experience, but thats a topic for another day. I just want to know if I even have a chance honestly. I thank you all for the input.

sure you have a chance. Those stats arent so bad. Take the pcat again in august or october. It'll look a lot better if you have a score in the 80s. Do well this semester to bring up the gpa. Volunteer in a pharmacy if you cant get a job at one. Put some effort into if you really want it. Dont just give up.

I know alot of people fell like this sometimes but you've got to put it behind you. It also sounds like a bit of the problem might be, not that you are prepared for the PCAT, but that you're been so totally sapped after seeing your scores you don't want to continue. Realize that the PCAT is only one factor in determing the success of a student in pharmacy school. Another is determination. Be careful not to put yourself down so early. 🙂

Yea I am still going to try this is what I want to do after all cant give up on that. I was just wondering 2 questions. First my second score was drastically lower that my first which was a 73 how will that look and also what schools would be realistic for me to apply to. Again I thank you all for the help.

Sure, your stats are on the low side, but it's just numbers. If you get some pharmacy experience (if your dad was a pharmacist for a long time, he should know a ton of people who could hire you - pharmacy is an amazingly small world), write a stellar personal statement, apply to several schools (and not the most competitive ones!) and interview very well, then you certainly can get in.
