Hi,
I had one interview this cycle. Lots of waiting lots of anxiety, good stuff. Despite that I have upped my clinical volunteering about 50 hours, shadowing 10 hours, and been promoted to a managerial position at my job. So some stuff has happened for me.
I can’t do a post bac because of my wife and kid that I need to support. I also Can’t relocate for this reason.
My question is should I wait another year to re apply, or should I just re apply this cycle?
Here are my stats:
Gpa: 3.6 ish
MCAT: 516
Clinical volunteering 150 hours (i only had like 90 ) last cycle
Non clinical volunteering: 250 hours
I got a large promotion at my job to a supervisory role
I shadowing is about 60-70 hours
Research is about 300 hours with a private grant and postor presentation. No publications.
I applied to most mid-tier md programs that accept oos.
Should I reapply and really focus on improving my essays or just wait and try to improve my volunteering and shadowing more?
