I am scheduled to take my COMLEX step 1 in 8 days which will be july 8. So I only have 8 days to study. Rescheduling is only an option if I know I will do really poorly or will not pass as I have a honeymoon scheduled for July 11th in Europe and if I reschedule I would end up canceling my trip. Currently I'm scoring in the high 70's low 80's for COMQUEST q bank 50 questions each segment timed and random. I've done about 1000 questions in USMLE world and have a total average of 68-69%. I still feel like I'm not ready. I don't have the bugs and the drugs down yet. Every time I go over questions, I don't feel confident with my answers even if I get it right. I'm also debating if I should take another COMSAE. I've been reading here and the scores they get are not really predictive and it usually underestimates their score. If I don't do well on the practice test, my confidence would just go down and I might just end up stressed during the last week of studying and during my test. What do you think? Should I just bite the bullet and take it on the 8th? Should I do a COMSAE tomorrow? Would that help me? What can I still do to improve my chances of getting a better score with only 8 days left to study?

Don't postpone it. You are doing fine on the question banks, and most people never feel "ready." Take the comsae if you want to have a better prediction of what score you will get, otherwise just review the high yields like micro, VSR's, etc. I didn't have any repeats from my comsae on my comlex, but it isn't unheard of to have some. Plus, it is a great way to realize your weaknesses as my section performance was very similar on my comsae and comlex, and I should have adapted to that more.

Enjoy your honeymoon and get the test over with. Your numbers point to a respectable score, and you will be mad at yourself if you postpone it. Also, I felt absolutely terrible coming out of my test (I was livid) and scored 47 points above my comsae, so don't be too harsh on yourself after you take it either.

Good luck to you! PM me with any questions you have.
