Hey guys, quick question about retaking certain classes.
I am a junior with a 3.4 GPA, haven't taken the DAT yet.
This semester, I landed a C- in Cell Bio. I'm usually a solid A/B student, with only one other C (C+ in micro).
Most threads on here have people asking if they should retake classes like chem or orgo. I'm wondering if it's worth retaking a class that isn't a prereq in order to boost my sGPA and overall GPA.
My university completely replaces the old grade with the new one (although I believe the old one still stays on the transcript), so if I got an A it would be a 4.0 instead of a 1.whatever....yuck.
What do you guys think? Should I give it a shot retaking it or is it pointless? (I know next semester would be a way better professor teaching the course as well.....one of the main reasons I did so poorly this time around). How would dental schools feel about seeing that I retook it?
Also, how does that C+ in micro look? Should I consider running through that again as well?
Thanks for the input!
