Should I Retake DAT?

Just finished taking the DAT my first time and wanted some feedback on retaking it. I did ok on most sections 19 AA/ 19 TS/ 19 PAT/ 22 QR/ 19 RC/ 19 GC/ 21 OC. Then I bombed bio with a 16. I expected to do the worst on bio as its been the longest since I took it and my professors taught very little of the material that was seen on the DAT . However, I obviously wasn't hoping for a 16. With that in mind, I'm debating the retake. My GPA is 3.79 and science GPA is 3.65. I have pretty solid ECs and shadowing experience. Im looking for others thoughts or anyone else in a similar boat with a low score in one part of science. Thanks!

I have similar scores 19 AA, 18 TS, my lowest was a 17 in GC:
PAT-20
QR-20
RC-20
Ochem-20
Bio-18
GenChem-17

GPA is 3.65 overall and 3.55 sci. I was wondering the same...whether or not i should retake based on that 17 and 18

17 is the highest cutoff I've seen. I think you'll be fine. I would be very surprised if you had an issue this cycle

Thanks for the feedback. I'll do that and meet with my advisor when I get back to school. I'm only starting my third year of undergrad so I have a good deal of time to retake it but I just concern myself with going down in score on the other topics! I'm applying in state to KY (which has below average DAT scores) so hopefully that will be an interview I can score even if I don't retake it.

ive shared this a bunch of times in threads like this but my friend got a 19AA 16GC , had a 3.6 GPA and got ACCEPTED to 3 shcools, granted he only had one interview before Dec 1st. If the rest of your application is solid and you are articulate and interesting at your interview, i think you will be fine. dont let all the 23 and 24 AA scare you and make you think you cant get in.
