Should I retake the MCAT before my interviews?

So I have practicing CARS for almost a month now, and I have been considering taking the MCAT again. I currently have an interview at ACOM and ATSU-SOMA, and am STILL waiting on the Touros. My #1 school is Touro-CA which I know is going to be difficult for me to get an interview with my MCAT score of 502 (126-124-126-126), and my GPA of 3.21.

Do you think it is stupid for me to consider taking the MCAT again and improving my chances of getting an interview at Touro-CA, or do you think it's a waste of time? Probably a dumb question to ask. Thank you.

Some schools won't take a January MCAT for the current yeat

I definitely would not. What would you say to the schools that already offered you interviews IF your score happened to go down? Seems dangerous.

If you havent applied broadly do so. I would not retake the mcat. You broke a 500. At best you may get a 504-505. The difference based on your GPA is minimal. That still wouldnt categorize you as a high priority candidate. That doesnt mean you are not going to get in somewhere. My gut tells me you likely will but play your cArds right. Apply to more schools if you havent.

It takes one to say yes and then you are good.

I wouldnt. I feel like you are going to get accepted into ACOM. I wouldnt retake unless you are googoo over PCOM,TCOM,ect.

I am only googoo over Touro-CA, because I live an hour away.

They go googoo over high scores unfortunately, and unless you know for a fact you are going to score well enough to get an interview that late in the cycle, it is not worth it. Alas. beggars can't be choosers.

I wouldn't retake. Having two II isn't bad OP.. retaking would just be risky at this point.

I was afraid of that. So I'm just taking a big risk by thinking of a retake. You're right about the "beggars can't be choosers" part and at first it was easy for me to leave my home, but as I think about it more and more...it becomes difficult.

You're right. At first, I was excited to have two IIs, but now it's becoming difficult to think about because I will have to leave my home. I know Medicine is about sacrifice, and I guess I have to learn sooner or later. I thought Touro-CA would be my saving point, but I should be happy that I have at least gotten a couple of interview invites, and maybe more in the coming months.

Applied to both Western-Pomona and Western Lebanon, applied to Touro-NV. Waiting for interview invites from those schools. REJECTED by PNWU.

I can't recommend a retake unless you are shut out this cycle.
