I took the pcat for the first time on Friday and I'm not sure where I stand. My composite was a 76, and the school I applied to has a60 avg. I'm a pharmacy tech with a3.46 GPA, and the rest of my app is pretty solid. Didn't do well in math or bio. Reading and verbal were 70's, and Chem was a 95. I'm applying with a bachelors in Biochem. Should I retake it?

I've read the post. Very interesting. My fear is I don't have the time to retake it I don't think. I applied early decision. My bio wasnt like, LOW. Just lower than I expected. Also the admissions committee will surely take into consideration that I haven't had Microbiology yet. I plan to take it in the spring prior to graduation.

Maybe it's different for the schools you're applying to, but I know for the schools I'm looking at they have all plainly stated that they look at your PCAT the same way as with others who may have been able to take more courses than you.
But best of luck to you! I think your composite is enough to get you an interview or two and if you do well at the interview, then you're set!
