Last semester I was still on the pre-pharmacy track so I took Biology I for Bio majors. In order for me to continue to Biology II, I have to take Organic Chemistry I as a co-requisite. Should I take both classes or should I start with Biology I course for non-biology majors which is easier? I got a B- in the class but I'm glad since over half of the class failed and it is known as the "weeding out" class.

If you take Bio for non science majors, will the transcript say that or will it just say Biology 1?

Also, is there a nearby community college you could just take Bio 2 at?

I would contact the schools you want to apply to and ask them if biol 1 for bio majors is acceptable for the biol 1 prerequisite because if they do, it would not make sense to take the other biol course. I don't understand why ochem 1 would be required to take biol 2, but I guess every school is different.
