I signed up for July 8th for the MCAT test because i thought i would be ready, but I'm not so sure now. I spent 2500 on the kaplan course and took it back in march and finished it early may. I had signed up for the test may 22nd but changed it b/c i had finals for my semester the week b4. I didn't really do much for kaplan other than going to class because i was taking a full load during the semester. I took a biochem course for summer semester and just finished it so i didn't really study much for the mcat since may. I took a practice test from kaplan and got better because of the biochem course but the score was still in the low 20s. I have less than a week to decide to change the date before the registration deadline. If i change my date to august and study during July, would it be too late? or should i just stick it out in the next two weeks keep taking the kaplan practice tests and hope for the best?? I don't really have the best gpa for med school because i slacked off sophomore year and really am depending on the mcat to show my academic ability. need advice asap!!!

😕😕😕😕:scared:🙁

You've had enough exposure to the data. You've seen all the subject material and studied in your own way. In the next week take practice exams with the goal of increasing speed. Don't change your date. Nothing will be accomplished with acting out like that. Been there, done that.

Your post is illegible.

Really? You wasted your time commenting on a thread by being an a**? OP, just like someone said above, you've got the info in your head. The most important thing for you to do now is take as many practice tests as possible. If you push your test date back another month or so, you may want to wait to apply until next cycle.

i completely agree..its sooo important to apply early bc schools are less strict on their respective standards early in the season. Your options are to take the test now and hope for the best or reschedule and apply next time around.

IMO-If u know youre not ready and your grade isn;t going to be competitive, youre likely going to have to re-apply next cycle anyway...but if you reschedule and take your time preparing, at least you'll save yourself the thousands of dollars wasted in applying twice.

..its a marathon, not a race. Best of luck!
