Should I take Step 3 in Sept or wait until next Summer?

So I am thinking of taking Step 3 end of Sept.

I am a Psych Intern. My next 3 months are only Psych. Fairly chill schedule. After November, I have 4 months of Medicine, 1 month Peds, 1 month Neuro and 1 month ER until May.

Should I take it now when it is more relaxed schedule, or am I rushing it, and should I wait until May once I am done my other rotations?

I guess I am only a bit nervous about taking the 'new' format, so hence me trying to squeeze it in Sept..

Arguments in favour of taking it now mainly include the existence of preparatory material for the current format. You have a couple of months to prepare, which is more what most people do. Unless your clinical medicine is really lacking, you could get it over with sooner rather than later.
