Hey everyone!

So last week I went to the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (SERMACS) and I presented my research (its educational biochem research). There were 1400 abstracts submitted (idk if this is something worth mentioning). My whole trip was sponsored by grants from my university's SGA and Bio department.

Is this something worth updating the med schools I applied to about? I did not mention it on my application since I was not sure if I was going at the time. I'm getting very anxious since I havent heard back from any schools (except 1 ii). If it is something worth updating schools about, what should I mention? I know people say to keep the update short and simple.

Thanks 🙂

1400 abstracts submitted and how many accepted?

Also any other things to update (volunteer, etc.)?
it doesn’t say on their website. I can try emailing the event coordinators to see if they have more info about how many were accepted or how many people attended. But I gave a 20 minute talk about my research (it wasn’t just a poster). No other updates. i’m still a lab assistant (been one for almost a year now it was on my original app)

any ideas on how to update schools/show interest?
