Should repeat course A when I have a higher level in course B?

I got a D+ in Introductory Biology, and then I an A in Genetics, which in my uni is the course you must take after passing (for me, marginally) Bio I.

I have the same issue with Calculus. I got a D- in Cal I, and a damn A in Cal II.

I even have the same issue with Chem ;(

C+ in Gen Chem I and II, and an A+ in Organic I.

My first year in uni was a disaster, and I didn’t know much about how grades were important in the long run so I moved on to the next course. But luckily I worked hard like crazy, and now I want to move on to Cell and Molecular Biology etc.

Do I have to repeat those courses I got low grades in? I am worried about what schools will say, but then I have an upward trend.

Repeat prereqs only if you intend to apply to ds.

Repeat intro bio since most schools expect atleast a C. For calc you should be fine since most schools only require one math course, if any, and your calc II grade would satisfy their requirement. For gen chem you’re borderline for some schools so if you have time you should probably repeat it.
