Should shadowing a PA be included on the application?

Pretty much what the subject says - should shadowing a PA be included on the application as a formal Shadowing EC, or only when it's an MD or DO?

I would not. PAs play a different role than MD/DO in healthcare.

The university of Utah specifically mentions not to count PA shadowing on their website:

If a school specifies that shadowing is required and PA shadowing doesn't count, then don't include those hours in determining if you have enough shadowing to satisfy that school. On the other hand, when a school wonders if you have given enough consideration to other careers, the fact that you have shadowed a PA demonstrates that you have some knowledge of that role in patient care. I would not fault you for including it.
