is it really neccessary to keep in touch with the faculty of the school after the interview?
is it a must to send thank you notes/mails to the members who interviewed you???
all suggestions welcome

This has been talked about at great length. But to spare you from reading it, I'll give you the abridged version.

Side A: A "Thank You" note is considerate and more than sufficient. Anything else, gifts, baked goods, etc is not necessary or recommended.

Side B: A "Thank You" note is just a way to suck up to faculty.

My Kaplan Teacher suggested a brief thank you note with a 2x2 picture to remind admissions faculty who you are.

You should definitely keep in touch with them to make sure they have everything required from you. Thank you cards are given as a common courtesy, not necessarily required.
