My screen name is so arbitrary; it reveals nothing about me.
Heh! I've just always liked mythology. The only D&D I did was watch that cheesy cartoon. Although, I was a MUD addict in the mid-90s. Shhhhhh.
I apologize as I don't know what cartoon you speak of nor what MUD is.
Wow, way opposite of my HS (in Hawaii).
Cartoon:

Egad (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egad). I'm so embarrassed.
Hawaii? What year you grad? From where?
1999 Baldwin. Go bears!
I also went Seabury, but only 7th-10th grades, yeah. You stay from Hawai'i too?

HAHA. My first year of medical school I lived with 6 other guys. 6 of us were 6'0"+ and white. One guy was Indian (not native american, from india) and 5'6". We called him our "little brown friend".
I remember (kinda) having "magical brownies" during UG! 😎

God... even graphical RPGs take way too much reading/thinking.
You . . . DORK . . . HAHA
Asian. 🙂
Well im 6'1 lol
The winter of my sophomore year in college I was on jedimud or holomud from directly after class, around 3pm until about 6am - STRAIGHT THROUGH. Then I'd sleep for a few hours and go to class, and come back to MUD again. But hey, I was in Michigan, and what else are you going to do during the winter? The funny thing was that no one ever believed I was really a girl. This was in 1993-94.... Ah, good times.
I've studiously avoided such things ever since. It's a slippery slope. I heard about....errrr....what is that virtual world where people are actually buying "virtual real estate?" Yeah, avoiding that like the plague. It could be the end of me. Wait a minute. And what exactly is SDN? 😱

Hmm, from Hawaii...not Pacific Islander... Asian...
日本人 ですか?
I saw a precipitous drop in my 3rd year grades after I started playing Star Wars Galaxies. I sold my character for $400 right before they made the game suck and everyone went to WoW. I am staying far away as I love fantasy more than Star Wars.
Ah, reminds me of freshman year and how my friends and I got into Starcraft. 🙂 Good times!
Nope, try again! 🙂
The first time I played Starcraft, it was past midnight at a birthday party and I installed it and joined a multiplayer game. I had ISDN back then so I thought that I was awesome. When I saw little purple zerglings, I was like... aww... they're kinda cute... and then they started destroying my Terran buildings and I quit the game as fast as I could. Starcraft II looks excellent and I can't wait for it either.I college for me it was Half-Life all the way!-I dominated all my friends and most people online in that game. I also competed in tourneys for Quake III Arena but wasn't quite as good at that--usually got 2nd or 3rd. I loved Starcraft (can't wait for II) but was much better at 1st person shooters than RTS. I was often challenged to a post-Half-life Starcraft games for revenge. This was similar to how my HS friends would challenge me to post-basketball golf games. I average about an 80 . . . on 9 holes. Also got into D&D in college and loved that. It was funny when I "caught" all my Half-Life buddies playing the D and they were so embarassed. I guess they thought that a guy who could actually talk to girls couldn't play D&D but I was hooked from day 1.

In college, I always went back to CS:S eventually. It didn't matter what other game my apt was hooked on, so it was the best $45 I've ever spent. These days, I'm still into shooters and just finished Bioshock but with the Company of Heroes expansion out & World in Conflict, I'm enjoying RTS too. The Crysis beta should be done downloading soon and I'm eager to see what that's like, as well.
I LOVE LAMP!!!
[Translation: I have no idea what the f*** this 1337 speak means. I feel old and out of the loop, even though I'm younger than the person you are responding to (TRA).]
Ah there's a LARPer on Beauty & the Geek.Do you mean LARP? (Live Action Role-Playing)
Once 1337 speak is known by all it is no longer 1337 . . . er, elite.

I'm so embarassed for him...
StartingOverZ because I'm a career changer and because I'm 26.
Isn't that the sad truth? The only time I feel like I'm worth anything is when I own my GF's little bro and his 12 year old friends at first-person shooters.Wow this thread is derailing itself. 🙂
I only liked playing RTS games against friends - go online and those strangers kick your ass faster than you can say "but you're 15 and you live in your parents' basement!"
No, not really. I'm a med student at CCLCM. Obviously.Pretty lame; I hope many of you have a cooler reason for your name.
