Hello everyone! I was recently accepted into the MOT program at SJSU and was wondering if anyone out there had any insight into what the class schedule looks like? I have heard that classes are typically 2-4 days a week but more detailed info would be greatly appreciated! I am trying to figure out if I can keep some weekday shifts at my job and still be able to fit in my classes. Thanks!

Here is what my friend in the program said regarding the class schedule:

Last semester I got the schedule I wanted, which was Tuesday and Thursday 10:30-4:15 and Wednesday 9-4:15. The OT dept (as far as I know) always has lunch break from 11:45-1:30. This semester my schedule is a bit more confusing - Monday 5-6:30pm, but since its my clinic practicum class, we only meet 9 out of the 16 weeks. On Tuesdays I don't have class but I go to my clinic for 4 hours. Wed and thurs I have class 9-4:15, with a lunch break at 11:45-1:30. People have different schedules because there's more than one class time per class we have to take. Some people this semester have mon-Wednesday only (so they do their clinic Thursdays). The OT dept doesn't have class Fridays 🙂

Hope this helps!

Oh thank you so much for that info loveot4kids! I'm glad that they seem to have fewer days on campus even if they are long ones. I'll be commuting from the East Bay so less driving is what I was hoping for 🙂

Hi, how soon after your acceptance did your admission status change from referred to grad dept to accepted?

Thanks!

@michaelpett24 I don't remember exactly but it took at least a week for it to change. Are you waiting to hear back from the department? From my understanding they let you know personally before they change the admission status.
