I recently received a request to submit for an extensive background check from a residency program that I have an upcoming interview with. This includes social security/marital status, employment history. The are requiring this to attend the upcoming interview. Specifically, they are asking for in writing (via email or fax):
"List in chronological order EVERYTHING you have done including high school. This would include places of employment, hospitals, teaching institutions, private practice, corporations, military assignments, government agencies, and locum tenens assignments. You are required to account for any and all time, including summers. NO time gaps will be accepted. You will need to label any unemployed time as “vacation, “sabbatical”, or “moving” (whatever is appropriate). Provide details regarding these time gaps in the description field. A CV will NOT replace completing this section."
Am I correct in feeling this is a both sketchy and a match violation?
