Sleeping With A Co-worker: DONT DO IT

So. Here goes. I have made this blunder before and thought I would have learned my lesson.

But about two weeks ago, a bunch of us from the lab went out....there was drinking...bla bla bla.....

and to make a long story short I once again failed to use good judgement and ended up sleeping with a post doc. The experience was wonderful. I am not complaining. What I am complaining about is the after effects, the next day(s), weeks...

I dont want to date her. I am just not into her that way. But I think she would like that (that is why it is akward). Every hour in the lab is weird, uncomfortable.

IT SUCKS. This is the last time this will EVER happen. If does happen again, I will have EVO DEVO castrate me.

well seriously, what did you expect? Either be respectable and date her or don't jump into bed with her. Now you need to apologize to her for you indiscretion and tell her you don't want to date and you two will remain as...just lab partners.

If we all got better things to do than hear about his shallow life than why are we all here reading and replying to his sad shallow life? The post said what it was about, if your too busy to read it then why are you here?

As for the co-worker thing, tell her what's up, it's only fair. Been there done that and I feel you should be straight with the woman up front (and before the deed) about where you stand. If she has similar interests then it's on, and if not there's no weird tension cause it didn't happen. Hitting it with a co-worker under false pretenses is bad news.
