So i graduated in May08 with a BS in biochem and a 3.2 (3.4sci) gpa. I 've been working as a dental assistant since and took my DAT in the beginning of june. AA=20 TS=21 PA=20
I thought my EC's were going to tip the scale in my favor considering my mediocre GPA but now I see I have to add CC courses and high school college courses which are SEVERELY bludgering my GPA. Now I'm at 2.98 cum and 2.95 sci.
My first year at Manhattan college my mother died and was a big wakeup call for me that I needed to put up or shut up. A matureing point I guess but my lackluster performance in CC and in those college high school courses are haunting me. Do you think adcoms will see this or if its below 3.0 will they totally disregard? I'm totally stressing out 🙁. I'm completely financially on my own so truthfully post bacc isn't a realistic option for me. Plus I have over 180 total undergrad credits so its going to take a lot to change that. (I did 4 years at Manhattan; they only accepted about 20 of my CC credits). This application process is really breaking my bank, but I've been working for this for the past 5 years. Honest opinions... am I wasting my time and money?
