It's hard, haha I feel less and less sure about my personal statements every day. I keep trying to remind myself that if I get in, then great, but if I don't then it isn't the end of the world. I applied to Case, UNMC, and Louisville!
you'll surely get in! those sites are not the most sought after, so that boosts your chances! (i think)
Can you change the sites you applied to?
No, you cannot change the sites once you submit the application!
That's what I was hoping for, but I'm also not urm, only economically disadvantaged and from a rural area, so I'm still not very confident in my chances 😛
Literally submitted my application at 4:00 AM and it was completed this morning. Extremely anxious to find out if I got accepted in to any of the sites!
Hey y'all! I'm applying for the Dental Program. Got everything "completed" yesterday, thank goodness. Not really comfortable with my essays but we'll see if it pushed me through! I'm not considered URM under SMDEP (I'm Vietnamese) but I hope they'll look into my economically disadvantaged background and my rural location! I'm applying at Louisville, Houston, and Washington!

Yes definitely call the UCLA SMDEP office. I know I'll be calling Columbia SMDEP first thing Monday morning.

Hey guys, I have a question regarding the essays on the SMDEP application.
I submitted my application but the formatting of my essays are wrong. I copied my essays into the box but there's no indent and can't distinguish between paragraphs...
I'm super worried... is it suppose to be like that?

Does anyone know when duke will start reviewing applications? My other two sites are in review and I just want to know if I should antiicpate duke to review a few days before the decision date

I think that only applies to people who started the app after December 24th.

Hey guys!! I am new to this thread but have been secretly reading everyone's post. I applied to Howard, UVA and Columbia ! Anyone else apply to these three sites? My application is in review at UVA and Howard but nothing still from Columbia. My application was complete on December 15! Can't wait
I applied to Columbia, UW, and Duke and my application isnt in review for any of them yet!!! So tempted to call but I dont want to be "that person" and have them say theyre working on it or its completely fine and be patient.

I called Columbia. They were super nice and said that they probably just haven't gotten around to updating yet and they're still working on it. Nothing matters until the 15th anyway. In the past I have heard that Columbia is the site that receives the highest number of applicants so due to the volume they're probably just really busy.
I just got off the phone with Columbia. The lady was about to tell me their decision but she quickly remembered she has to wait. SO CLOSE TO FINDING OUT! I'm not sure if she felt bad telling me I got rejected or just wanted to wait...
