So my question was if an applicant graduates like normal and doesn't get in (first cycle) then applies to SMP but also med school again (2nd Cycle) and then finishes SMP and enters a 3rd cycle, is that how that works so in a sense you are finishing in 3 years? What about linkage schools? Can you go into an SMP having applied to their medical school, show them you can handle it and get an acceptance? (linkages)

Yes, to the last question. For example, attend SMP 2019-2020. Then matriculate into host med school fall of 2020

But hence it would take 3 years via that route or would you not apply to medical school the second cycle and go thru the SMP and then apply?

Enter SMP FALL 2019
Finish Spring 2020
Apply in the 2020-21 cycle to schools other than the host school.
Matriculate fall 2021.

Capeesh?

Thank you guys yea it makes sense I was just wondering if people apply with the same stats or maybe improved one stat (MCAT or gpa by a little) and then do an SMP in the meantime just in case they don't get in so they have a complete revamp of their app so as to not waste a year. Thanks 🙂
