i've taken the MCAT as many times as i possibly can. the first time, i got a 28P with an 11VR, 10BS, and 7PS. second time i got a 26Q with a 9VR, 9BS, 8PS. third and final try got me a 29Q with a 9VR, 9BS, and an 11PS.

i applied to medical schools late last year, towards September, and nothing came of it.

i'm a Texas resident with an undergraduate GPA of a 3.57. i applied, and was accepted into a few SMP's. i was hoping for a higher MCAT score this last time around, but that clearly did not happen.

what would be my best course of action? i don't want to apply again to med schools next year, and i have my heart set on an MD school. i've paid the deposit for the Tufts MBS and Rosalind Franklin's MBS, i'm just not sure which would be best.

please let me know what you would do in this situation, any advice would be appreciated!

smp is no good for you, it will not help you unless you go to one with extremely high linkage like tulane or cinci
perhaps something else is wrong or lackin in your app like volunteer work, clinical experience, poor letters.... enlighten us
what med schools have you applied to in the past and when has your app been turned in and verified (assuming you applied to non-texas schools as well because i am not familiar with their app).

agreed - an SMP won't help much.

did you get waitlisted anywhere?

You must have holes in your app thats not your MCAT (avg score is a 27.6; not great for MD)

Rfu has very high linkage, if you were going to do one i'd consider that one.
