Hi does anyone out there know the tuition cost for NOVA is. I remember the financial aid director saying close to 40 grand, an outrageous amount but on their website is posted 18 grand, but i really do remember him saying that. Did anyone hear that as well.
Also does anyone know how easy it is to gain Maryland residency at U of MD after the first year in order to pay half the state fee?
Thanks

At my interview the girl who spoke with us about financial aid said that last years tuition was something like $18.5 K and that this year would be a little more but there wasn't an exact figure yet. The $40K figure is when you figure in all living expenses (room and board, transportation, food/entertainment, books, computer- everything!)
The tuition there is comparable to anywhere else. 🙂

I'm guessing that you are a Florida resident since you quoted the 18k. That is for tuition ONLY. The financial aid officers just said that tuition and other fees would come out to roughly 38K. That includes books, apartment, gas, food, etc. Also during your meet with them they must have given you a folder with a bunch of info including a sheet with the breakdown of the exact prices. Atleast that's what I got.

Sorry, don't know anything about Maryland. However with Nova I know that you can't change your residency after you start the program. If you are out of state for the beg of the program you will remain out of state for the next 4 years. All us Florida residents save is about 3k a year.

So what school are you going to end up attending?

By the way, CONGRATULATIONS!!! 👍 😀
