I haven't done a single WS section yet (I will when I do AAMC 8 to fully wear down my mind before the BS). People always say that this section does not matter for med school admissions. If I were to get like a 30 but an L on the Writing sample, would this be detrimental to my med school chances? Similarly how much benefit does getting a T on the WS give you?

i have a feeling that it doesn't really matter that much... if you are struggling in any of the other 3 sections, focus onthose. just don't get a J hahaha... it's probably only one of htose scores that will hurt yyou if you're at the bottom, or may help you some if you kick major ass.

they should just get rid of the writing sample altogether. with 2 english classes, lots of personal essays, and blunt admissions of irrelevancy from schools, the writing sample has outlived its purpose.
