So I crunched some number and my GPA is going to be about a 3.4 by the end of my junior year

3.4 by the end of my junior year is pretty low. But by the end of my senior, if I decide to take a gap year, will be a 3.52. Is that bad?
A 3.52 is below the median for accepted allopathic students, but isn't nessarily a death knell to acceptance to an MD school, particularly if you have a high BCPM GPA, a strong MCAT score, and/or a steep upward grade trend.

What would your GPA be if you add a fifth college year before applying?

Everything Catalystik said, except I have one question to add:
How are you calculating these GPA's? GPA is never a completely predictable variable. Trying to average in one semester after quite a few of experience is one thing, but it sounds like you're a Freshman/Sophomore trying to predict 50-75% of your college performance way too soon.

Based on your other thread, it sounds like you're just at the end of your freshman year. And considering the poor grades you mentioned there, I believe your "3.4 by the end of junior year" is assuming you get all or mostly A's for two years in a row. That is simply not realistic considering your past performance.
