regarding the application,
when it says "Describe any activities requiring manual dexterity"
since I draw, should I say I do art or should I write down something more specific such as painting?

and would martial arts count as something with hand-eye coordination? lol

lastly, for the disadvantaged status section: (I know this is optional)
even though I don't think I should be considered disadvantaged, I grew up in another country until the age of 10. So do people think I should put "Other" for Childhood residence and list myself as disadvantaged? also, since one of my parents recently retired, is it plausible to consider myself economically disadvantaged? even though I think my mom's income does not quality as low.

thanks
appreciate it

Dude, go w/ martial arts...think about it...EVERYONE IS GONNA PUT ART/PAINTING. I think the martial arts will definitely help you, no doubt.

so the disadvantaged section is optional, however, there are two things in there that with bullets which means they are required. now if i try to save without filling them out, it says info is missing. is this normal? i am paranoid :X

also, if I used to be proficient in Japanese because I studied abroad in Japan, but kind of lost it since I got back to the US, should I still put it as one of the languages I know? I think I could get it back easily with some practice though :X are they going to test me in an interview regarding language lol

You only put it if you can effectively communicate w/ native speakers...so can you?

everyday conversation yes
more in-depth topic relating to science, liberal arts, politics... probably not lol

I put that I was "socioeconomically disadvantaged" simply because I qualified for the AADSAS fee assistance program (parents making less than $30,000 in a family of 4). I didn't elaborate any more and honestly, I didn't want to. I'm sure there are people who have it worse than I do.

guess im not economically disadvantaged

i dont even think i am disadvantaged at all then even if i was born in another country and spent 10 years there before I moved to the US. there was a language barrier in middle school but i've overcame that rather quickly. sooo would this even be worth mentioning?

mainly asking cuz I have a low RC score of 17 (piano lol)

but TS is 21, AA is 20, and PAT is 24
overall GPA is 3.66
major GPA (not including some lower div sciences so I dunno if this is science GPA) 3.54

Be specific! And yes! Martial Arts definitely requires hand-eye coordination or you'll get your ass kicked
As for being disadvantaged, I don't think just because you were born in a different country and/or English isn't your 1st language you should put yourself down as disadvantaged.
Did you go through any major hardship growing up? If not, then you're not disadvantaged 😉

now I am pretty sure that I am not disadvantaged.. shouldn't even have touched that optional section to start with since now it wants me to put if i spend a majority of my time in the US or not and etc

anyways. last question:
by specific do you mean say... if i play basketball, should I say that I played in IM and in double AA division in this hand-eye coodination section or should I save that for EC and just put basketball down for now?

ty

They give you like 10 spots to write about your extracurricular activities. What you do not use in your manual dexterity, you should put in that section. Also try not to write about something you barely do like drawing once a month or karate once every 6 months. It should be something constant and ongoing.
