I tried to schedule for my interview date for Michigan but it overlaps with my Columbia interview on Oct 27th...
They told me to call them again two weeks later... Hope that there is a date on Nov...
Any1 with a similar situation as mine...
I am worried if there is no space later on and moved to Dec or Jan...

I have an interview at michigan on november 3rd.. call them and see.. but the same thing happened to me for october 13th cuz iti overlapped with my columbia interview... they must be in cahooots

admissions people aren't idiots. if they see an excellent applicant being interviewed in Jan/Feb, they'll make sure they give that person the chance to interview and get a spot in the class. They won't accept everyone Pre-Dec and let the class fill up with lesser-qualified students. They WANT and ACTIVELY SEEK the best students they can get.

If you interview in Feb or so and don't get in, then prolly they were impartial to you. They could've taken or not taken you in. It didn't matter to them.

UOP pretty much fills its class by Dec 1st. Not all schools wait.

like I said, they're probably impartial then. they're not concerned about taking the absolute best. the quality of the students in Jan/Feb are comparable to the rest.

That is sad. I guess I'm lucky since i don't have to make such a decision considering how neither schools have contacted me. yay...😉

I would agree to that to a certain extent. Generally the best students are the ones that do everything early and on time. It probably wont be much of a difference but I would say the early applicants would be better than the later ones. Still...applicants in Jan/Feb will have great stats.

I know someone who applied in March and was accepted...and went on to graduate #1 in the class and is now in a specialty. I agree, that if you are "average" and apply really late, you might get passed up. If you are really good though, someone is going to scarf you up. An employer certainly isn't going to give a person a job just because they are the first to apply. Same with dental schools.

When they applied and when their application was completely processed through AADSAS are two different things.
