I'm an asian. I'm not a citizen. I have f-1 visa. Is it impossible to get into dental school??? From my resources, it's pretty much impossible. Becoming a dentist has been my goal for last 4 years, and I really don't see any other occupations that I want to pursue. There really isn't a way for me to get a green card in next 2 years. So with good grades, and good d.a.t score, will i be able to get in to a dental school?

There are generally some spots open for very competitive international students. You just have to find out where. It's not impossible, but I agree, you have it harder than most that are applying. Good luck.

depending on which country you're from, you might be able to apply for the green card lottery.

It's possible to get into schools. I applied to 10, rejected by 1, under review at 4, interviewed and accepted at 5. I'm on F-2 right now and so it's possible, just be persistent and nice. I had to review all the US dental schools, called the ones that would accept international students and then made my short list based on my stats and other unique things I was looking for.
You'll be fine.

i am also asian, not a citizen, and have an F-1 visa. I applied to 10 schools, got and number of interviews, went to 2 of them, and got 2 acceptances so it's very possible

i've never heard of green card lottery? Apparently, South Korea is one of the countries that are in green card lottery. What are the odds? and for those of you who applied and got in, could you please tell me where you applied??? and what was your stats like.

U.S. gives away limited number of green cards to people from various countries around the world..
