I got into Penn, Pitt, Tufts, and NYU. Aside from the financial aspect, what school has the best reputation? education? I don't think that I want to specialize, but I'm keeping that option open.

Also, I spoke to a lot of dentists (two renowned oral surgeons and lots of recently-graduated oral surgery residents) about which schools to apply to. They emphasized that I should stay away from NYU because its program is not good and it has lost its reputation in the dental field. But I've been reading posts about NYU and they don't seem to condemn NYU as much as the dentists did...

Anyway, please rank the schools with explanations why! Thanks!

I have, and continue to hear bad things about NYU's dental program from two people currently attending and a dentist who recently graduated. These are just opinions, but personally I would choose any of the others over NYU because of cost and the size of the class.

umm tell your dentist friends that all that NYU crap everyone says is all crap. its one of the best schools and if u can name one school that sees 300,000 patients a year then go there. I also got accepted to NYU and i was amazed at the place, it was a factory of doctors, why would anyone want to goto a small school with like 30-60 students, after a year u will be sick of them.
