i applied to 10 schools,
so far, I have one interview invite and one rejection (but the rejection is from one of my top choices -_-), should I call in a ask them what was lacking in my application? or should i just say eff it and wait for the other 8 schools while preparing for the interview I have?

kinda sad, but what can i really do about this?

If it's your top choice I would at least try to inquire. Whether or not you get the info you're looking for.. no telling.

What was your stats applying?

Attended a UC
overall GPA with +/- 3.71
w/o 3.74

science GPA with +/- 3.61
w/o 3.62

DAT AA: 20 TS: 22 PAT: 24 RC: 17 <-- i suspect its this -_-

not spectacular, but I thought I had a shot... guess not lol

Did you apply late? Mailing date?

And if the top choice you're referring to is UCSF, then I wouldn't sweat the rejection. Go to predents and take a look at the rejection list. A handful of people with higher stats than you have already been rejected.

did you have any extra-curriculars? those are good stats

@JBieber - yea, its UCSF, but that just means there will be even more competition at the other Cali schools >.<

I did apply kind of late due to some personal reasons, so that may have played a big part. My mailing date was: 9/03

@kayakdude - again, i think my stat for those are not spectacular, but decent.

ECs and volunteer amount to around 400 hours
shadowing amount to around 300 hours

not 1000 like some people claim but yea =/

it takes about 2 months for schools to process your app. so they probably looked at your app from mid oct-mid nov. Your stats are stellar so i think you should start looking at suits to buy and shinning your shoes to get ready for interviews soon 😀

yeh, those are some bad @$$ numbers. If you would have applied in the summer like most of us, you would have had more interviews for sure.

Keep your hopes up
