For all those so quick to call the OP a "loser", what makes him a loser ?? because he chooses to study and maintain a 4.0?! I think it's a pretty admirable quality that one has that much determination to dedicate himself to his work. Maybe his life isn't [erfectly balanced, but whose is?!

As a female (who's not completely hideous haha), I most often find that guys such as the OP make for quite interesting individuals. Don't feel bad OP.
It's your life, study and concentrate on your GPA if that's what you want. If it's buggin' you about not going out, then take some of the tips on here and be more socially active (try anyway lol)and it doesn't have to include drinking. Drinking is pretty lame..people are so obsessed with it that it's like all they have to talk about.. that alone turns me off big time.. yea man lets get trashed, ...blah blah i was so wasted blahblah..

hi I just want to say I find It attractive that a man is highly ambitious with his career because the way he treats what his heart desires is the way he would treat me. it is very admirable to see a man determined to be the best he can I think you should join clubs since you are the lucky few who attend a top ten school there must be tons of clubs to attend if you don't have time I think the second best thing that turns women on and Other men envy is having an athletic body. what would separate you from the stereotype "geek" is to workout . I think it is a must that all men should work out .
1)working out makes you relieve any tension you may have 2) you will built confidence .3) women notice a nice lean guy with fresh look. if you don't have time or don't know were to work out buy a pull up bar ,dumbells and do p90x(u will look great) . well I hope everything works out for you and DON'T study less so you will fit in because everyone around you ...not to be mean but they are nobody. do your best in school because you future is where life leads and when you become a stunning doctor everyone is going to want you because YOU ARE AS VALUABLE AS YOUR DREAM.🙂 and if you don't have a close friend try to keep motivated either thru music or a an inspiration. good luck

First of all I want to say congrats for getting into a top 10 university, that in itself is admirable and I am sure your parents are proud and now onto your question.

I wasted my first two years of high school with depression and being alone, didn't have a strong social life but my high school only had like 350 or so students in it. My junior year I aced everything including AP classes and same with senior year, didn't get into any top 20 schools but did get into some top 50 schools, no scholarships so I had to settle for commuting.

ok, taking this amazing thread back in a different direction... this was bothering me today when I was out doing errands. If you had the grades to get into some top 50 schools, but couldn't afford them, why didn't you just go to UGA? The place is practically free to in-state students (at least until your state's republicans start to chip away at the HOPE scholarship). Where in GA are you that there weren't better options out there?
