Hello, I was wondering if any current soma students had any insight to choosing a chc? My top choice is flagstaff so far and would love some feedback from some students there! Also if anyone with experience in other chc have a recommendation I am willing to consider those as well!

Hey! I was accepted into SOMA as well. Congrats! I've talked to numerous students and the majority of them chose places that they said they were comfortable at and could see themselves living for 3 years. The success is going to be a result of your own hardwork. Obviously, different sites have different vibes... but a they will all deal with underserved, lower socioeconomic communities. There are many factors to take into account!

As a fourth year, welcome to SOMA! I am at Phoenix CHC, but have heard really good things about Flagstaff from classmates. They do some of their rotations in the Phoenix area too.
I hope you find your niche.

Pick one where you want to live. They are all good places, and you'll get a fine education at any of them. We had excellent matches from each CHC this past year, so don't worry about the CHC limiting you, just go where you'd be happiest geographically.
