my gpa sucks i graduated from stony brook in may about 2.78. Currently I am back at a local university trying to get a bachelors in biochem this semester i took biochem, dev bio and cell bio I am expecting all A's maybe a B in dev bio. Next semster im taking a another course load of 3 and 400 level sciences if i get all A's in them will i have a chance to get into dental school when i apply in june '09 my gpa probably wont go up whole lot but i know they like to see improvement. Also, i think a masters is out of the question cause i cant afford it. Im thinking about taking the DAT again and try to get an insane score to help me. ANY THOUGHTS??

Im in a similar situation. I graduated with a 2.68 GPA and a 2.5 BCPM. I have too many hours at this point, so any informal post bacc would barely nudge my GPA. I have a upward trend, my last 87 hours = 3.6 GPA. Im sooo in debt at this point, I cant really afford to do an SMP. I think the fastest and best route to dental school would be a formal post bacc, attached to a d-school, but after some contact with them, I've lost hope. My GPA isnt competitive enough to get into these post baccs....so what to do now?
