hey,

Simply right now I am a junior in a private school with a 3.1gpa.As of now I do not know what it rounds to in a public school with a different grading system.

I am wondering with a 3.1 maybe a 3.2 GPA would going into the dental profession be a good decision?

I can take critism and advice as well. So please let me know if the dental area would be a good way to go. Any suggestions would be appreciated for a profession of any kind.

Here is how GPA conversion works in AADSAS:

It's a pretty standard system where A=4, B=3, C=2 etc, but note that B+=3.333 as opposed to 3.5 in some schools.

If you are applying for the next year, I think you should really focus on bringing up your GPA to 3.3-3.4 to stand a decent chance, especially science/bcp.

It's good but not great. Are you still in high school? Anyways, assuming it's an undergrad degree, you'll have to pad it with outstanding extracuricular activities. Leadership skills are a plus.

My suggestion is that you go into a profession that you would enjoy, not a profession that your mediocre GPA will get you into. As for your GPA, you will have to supplement that with all sorts of great DAT scores and dental experience, along with a passion for the field if you want to be accepted to a school.

Now, if you are still in highschool, then who cares about your GPA...just do better in college
