Something worthwhile to do during winter break?

I have approximately 8 months before filing applications, and I was wondering what I could do to improve my profile. I had about a year of clinical experience, but they are far from being spectacular. All I did was pushing wheelchairs, restocking, and running errands. I am hoping to gain more valuable clinical experience during the upcoming winter break. Any suggestions on what programs I can participate? I don't really mind going far, but I hope to not spend too much $$ on it.

For research experience, I will have approximately three years of research experience in three different labs by next year. I haven't published any paper unless honor's thesis counts as one;; 😳 🙁 Should I look for more research experience? If yes, where should I look?

Also, what are some good leadership opportunities?
hehe... it seems like I need to do tons of stuff during next 8 months. 😀
