  1. Pre-Health (Field Undecided)
My end goal here is to eventually end up in medical school at some point. As of now, I've been looking into different post-bacc programs, as I'm looking to graduate in May 2017 with probably around a 3.2 and maybe like a 2.9 science GPA. Im from the NYC area and every post bacc program I've looked into either won't let you apply until AFTER you've received an undergraduate degree or isn't geared towards students who've graduated with a science degree. So I feel totally screwed rn
I did take my GRE as back up for maybe getting a masters but didn't do as well as i could've so im definitely more interested in a post-bacc than anything else.

I really have no clue what to do and taking a year off is really really really something i don't want to do AT ALL haha. if anyone has any sort of advice i would appreciate it, I don't think I've ever felt as lost as i do right now.

Work on getting into a masters program that's linked to a medical school with proven results of matriculating their own, or start retaking classes to bolster that GPA. Set up shadowing with physicians and volunteer opportunities while you set up your academic situation.

DIY post-bacc or SMP.
DIY post-bacc: easy to get into, easier to get higher grades, cheaper, little linkage with medical programs
SMP: hard to get high grades, expensive, linkage with medical programs.
Do the DIY post-bacc if you are more risk-averse. Do the SMP if you are sure you are super smart in your bones.

thank you for your input!! if you have any recommendations on potential programs or are familiar with any in the nye area that would be sweet too

There are plenty of academic-enhancer type postbacc programs in the NE. Have you looked at the AAMC's index?

Heads up - many people who take the postbacc route end up taking a gap year in the end. There's a good chance you'll find yourself needing to take one too. Be open to it - it's better to take time than to do something dumb, like rush off into a carib school.
