On Saturday, May 14th, 2005, the UC Irvine Emergency Medicine Interest Group and Department of Emergency Medicine, with generous AAEM support, is hosting its 2nd Annual SoCal Emergency Medicine Student Workshop Symposium - an EM conference aimed primarily at medical students. Last year's event was an amazing success with over 150 medical students from all over California attending.
The theme of this year's event is Disaster Medicine and Preparedness...a topic that we feel all medical students, regardless of specialty interest, should have a basic understanding of.
