If majoring in Spanish/French is what you are driven to do, I say go for it!! As long as you do the prereqs and fulfill the requirements of the school you are interested in,
I completely agree with Apteka. If majoring in Spanish is what you want then definitely do it. The prereqs that the school of pharmacy requires from you are obviously something that you must fulfill--once you have those, you are on your way. I think it looks pretty darn good if you majored in another language especially Spanish. The hispanic population in the US is at an all time high and it works in your favor to be fluent in Spanish if you want to pursue pharmacy (especially retail). You will be dealing with individuals from all walks of life and it sure looks good if you can communicate with those people in their native language. Just a thought.
My BS is in psychology so I'm definitely not your traditional student in that aspect (most pharm applicants have their degrees in chem, bio, etc). When I interviewed at USN they saw this as a positive; they also loved it when I told them that I was fluent in another language (just so happens that it's Spanish).
Bottom line, go with your passion and desire--and make certain that you do great in the prereqs required from you. Best of luck
