With school, applying to med school, and work, I am sure many of you are ready for a break. So with spring break coming up on the horizon, what are you guys planning to do?
 
I'm staying at school to study, research, shadow physicians, and go to the Duke/UVA basketball game.
 
Working people don't have "spring break".

I graduated in December and am working full-time but that doesn't mean I can't take a week off when my friends have break and go to the mountains. 😎
 
Flying down to Memphis, then driving up to Boston in my bf's car (he's bringing it up from Texas). I get to see Graceland!

Also, hopefully going to South Carolina w/ my dad and sis.. it's sucks working 3 jobs..not a lot of free time.
 
I am leaning toward going up to the lake house the family I nanny for have and spending my time studying for the MCAT and catching up on sleep!

If I don't do that I will do the same here but not get as much done since I will be on SDN too much!
 
Last spring break of my college career......

is gonna be well-spent living it up in Las Vegas 😀

ha...you are going to Big Money Texas (BMT....one of the three cities in the golden triangle). That place is sooooooo country....everybody knows your name and Wal Mart runs everyone's life.

That's cool you are doing Habitat down in Beaumont. I hope they begin a similar project in the other neighboring cities (towns). Are you guys are flying to IAH (Houston Bush Intercontinental) and then driving down I-10 to Beaumont?

I'll be down in Port Aurthur (one of the other cities in the Golden Triangle...LOL) for Easter.

There is nothing to do there at night, except go to the movies and hang out at the Super Wal Mart...yep it's not just a regular Wal Mart...LOL!!!

Riceman and Jolie, sounds just like where I live back home. YAY! I need to get out of the city for a while. Rice - we're flying into Hobby (whatever airport that is), staying in Houston for a day, then driving down. Is our satellite radio gonna work in the middle of nowhere? Sadly this is my last alternative spring break, I'm going somewhere for me next year, most definitely.
 
Orlando with my family (yay I love them!) for the first four days...

Miami with my cousins for the last three...

Best of both worlds imo 😀
 
tampa to visit my friend.. it'll be nice to be in the warm weather for a few days 😀 just booked my flight today

Yeah...your satelite radio will work. Big Money Texas is a smaller city, but still large enough to maintain a host of radio stations.


Hahahahaha...hobby airport...it is just the smaller of the two...not sure why I laughed...just a little inebriated (Lord I must confess, ask for forgiveness, and repent) right now

Yes, we are flying Southwest. We are staying at the Residence Inn Houston by The Galleria. We will stay at the YMCA in Port Arthur.
 
Over spring break I'll be volunteering in an AIDS clinic in *** researching the role of gender in access to quality AIDS services in rural areas in ***. I will also be working in a local OBGYN clinic helping with delivering babies 😎.






Just kidding...:laugh:



Actually, I am gonna chill in my room, watch tons of movies and sitcoms, read many non-academic books, and just chillax! 😴

Play video games and finally be able to ride around with the drop top down 😀
I hate winter and having a convertible as a commuter 🙁

Definately going to do some 2am Krystal runs with my old high school buddies, definately attempt to get a Wall Street Journal, and maybe even get a full body wax (yes i'm a guy, but hey gotta try somethin new every now and then LOL), and you know....do what they did on Superbad. Those kind of fun **** nights 🙂

Definately going to forget about school for the whole time. I might even go to a party (I haven't had a beer since high school)

The inner nerd within me will take over. But all in all there's just too much stuff i'm going to do to put it up here. Spring break is going to rock! Untill I start getting bored....
 
planning on doing very bad things in playa del carman. by far the best place in mexico east of cabo.
 
Alternative Spring Break in Georgia, building houses. Supposed to be a great experience and my team is really cool. Definitely excited.
 
Hehehe.... Well, for the first half, I'll be in class. Three 8-hr lab days worth of forensic analysis. As to the second half, it'll be more lab work for me! 😳

I reserve the weekends for myself, however, and will do with them as I see fit.😀
 
Well the lake house I was going to go to is under construction (total kitchen redo!) so I am not going up there for spring break- maybe it will be ready for finals? And if not it will be done for summer and I can go up there anytime since I nanny for the family and they are super sweet!

So I am going to hang out and study and write my PS at home. Not so fun but unless something magically happens thats the plan!

Yeah, I am pretty pumped. Paying 200 bucks for the week to stay in a hotel on the strip which was cheap as hell (bad part is that I am sharing one room with 5 other people). I plan on killing all of my brain cells, and hoping that neurogenesis kicks in 100% on sunday so I can proceed to finishing up spring semester with good grades...:laugh:
 
Sitting in my room for a week, waiting for the release of Super Smash Brawl. Oh yea, that and finishing my thesis for graduation...
 
My gf and I, along with 2 other couples, are probably going to get a cabin in Gatlinburg, TN or somewhere for a long weekend. Not exactly the throw-down spring breaks of our younger years, but it'll do.
 
I think I'll study some ochem and calculus, maybe some bio. I'll need to get caught up over spring break.
Havign said that, I'm really planning on going anywhere, but I will be sleeping late, and going to various bars on their specials night. (34oz dos equis for $3 no cover charge)😀😀

Toronto, to visit my buddy up at design school...and hopefully get to see Bosh work Kobe and Pau-pa Smurf while I'm up there:hardy:
 
Going to volunteer and coach my old high school team for a week.
 
Work. The real world sucks at times.
 
I don't know what I'll do differently from what I normally do...work, eat, relax, travel, volunteer, and hang out with my friends. Heh, it's the story of my life. :laugh:
 
Service trip to West Virginia ...

... or staying at home and recuperating from an appendectomy and doing make-up work for missing so much school :\

I can't convince some of my friends to go camping. No RV? We're not going. Ugh. Have fun! I'm jealous.
 
So on spring break.....I am wondering if I should make plans. I haven't interviewed yet, and I am still waiting to hear from several places who continue interviews until April. Would it be bad if I got an interview, and the school needed me to go there during my spring break, which I am wanting to spend in Galveston, TX? Is spring break a reasonable excuse to have to reschedule for an interview?

If you're interviewing this far into the season I feel, atleast to me, its almost mandatory to go if no acceptances are in hand.
