So, I know that the app cycle is about to open next month for 2012-2013. When I was applying I really wanted to read about pple's experiences at different DPT programs and see what it was like. I've decided to blog my next three years at Emory's DPT program. I just started classes yesterday. they' have been two long days (8-4pm, then 8-5pm) so I'm pretty tired, and my first two entries about PT school aren't taht great, and I can't promise they will get any better, but at least it can help some pple out during the app process. If you have any questions, PM me. I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can. I also can't promise i'll update regularly, but I'll try my best. here's the link: http://notquitescrubsbutclose.blogspot.com/

I plan to do the same thing to give aspiring SPTs an idea of what school is like. It'll also look good on your resume in the future. I'll bookmark your blog to compare your program to mine.

I had the same idea!

Here's mine: http://earningthedpt.wordpress.com

It's already tough to try to update regularly with tests an all, but I'll definitely give it a go too!

Thank you both SO much for doing this!

You really inspire me, and I get a lot out of your posts. =) Best of luck!

Haha I actually started a blog about a week ago to document my PrePT/application process and plan to continue it through PT school. It's nice, and it's helping to keep my stress level down as I get things together before PTCAS opens.

Here's mine! It's relatively new and doesn't have many posts, but maybe someone will find it to be inspiring! ptinpearls.blogspot.com

love the blog, keep it up! when you graduate you will look back at this and have all of the great and different memories recorded to look back on. You will see how much you grew.

Such a cool idea to start early in PT school. You'll be amazed how things change when you look back in a few years!

I am at the other end, just graduated and studying for boards. You'll be there faster than you think! My blog is zestynerd.blogspot.com

bump

good luck to all of the applicants for this next cycle!

it's nice that there are other people doing the same thing that I'm doing. btw new post as of two-ish days ago. might be posting more regularly in the next week and a half before finals start.

its 3 years. 9 semesters. we get 6 days between summer and fall and spring and summer. but between fall and spring we get a month our first year. we started in the middle of june.

oh and we get a week for spring break in the middle of the spring semseter

Hey guys -

mod here. Technically TOS doesn't like having posts promoting personal sites like this, but since these are all PT student blogs related to the forum I'm personally okay with having the general links up. But please, do not make a forum every time you update your blog - it will start to get crowded and if everyone does it then it'll overtake the forum and start to get a little spammy, and I'll have to close it down.

Thanks 🙂
