Although Transformation zone (metaplasia zone) is the most common site for cervical cancer, UWSA states that squamoclumnar junction is susceptible to HPV infection. Could anybody explain to me why squamoclumnar junction, not transformation zone, is susceptible to HPV?

The transformation zone is another term for the squamocolumnar junction.
