It's shameful that the whole fine for defrauding thousands of students is $1.2 million. They were found to actually have USMLE first time pass rates of 35% and placement rates of 60% while claiming both to be well into the 90s. The penalty should me much more steep, and cover every cent and then some of tuition that they essentially stole from the federal government.

Don’t most (if not all Caribbean schools) make students take the mock USMLE, that US students take, except if one doesn’t do well, they are not allowed to take the actual USMLE?

The government could literally just block federal loans going to the school. Of course, powerful people who have political connections invest in and manage these schools
