Stanford Interviews? Anyone?

I wonder what's up with Stanford? As far as I (and the interview thread) go, as of this afternoon, nobody has gotten an interview invite from them 🙁

Hehe, I want a reason to go to Cali in the winter! Seriously though, the school is amazing and I wish they'd start sending us some news already!

They don't interview until next semester, so frankly I'm not surprised no one has invites yet. I know somewhere it said interviews start being offered in October, but all of these timeframes are always estimates.

You will probably be acceped to the vast majority of schools you applied to. How are you gonna choose which one to attend? That's quite a challenge.

hey has anyone had problems with stanford getting recommendations. Mine were uploaded at the end of august and still not received by stanford. They were uploaded to virtualevals

Meh, I only have one at the moment. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I really loved Cornell and it's tied at the top of my list with Baylor. But I'm going to a bunch more places soon, and we'll see. I'm also probably going to withdraw from some schools. My parents, of course, want me to choose the most financially viable solution. But I did that for college, so for once I want to pick where I *really* want to go. Of course, going to UT was the best idea ever and I loved it. So ??????

Whoops! Cool. I kinda hate when it is snail mail because my mom gets them at home in Katy and she has to read them aloud to me. not cool!

i wasnt complete until the last day because they didnt have my rec's checked off even though they had them (interfolio grr). but i got an interview invite this morning.

Does anyone know how Stanford responds to "I'll be in the area on X date if you are so inclined to interview me" requests? I think I recall that they do not like to receive any correspondence from applicants pre-interview....
