Haha, ok well here goes. 🙂 I had UGA first, on Tuesday, and it was their first interview session of this cycle. First we had a 45 minute essay and everyone had a different topic which had nothing to do with pharmacy. Then each of us took turns interviewing with 3 faculty members (there were 4 of us interviewing that morning). While we were waiting some of the students came in and answered our questions. It was extremely informal, you almost forgot that you were gonna be called in for an interview in the next couple of minutes. Then the interview itself was pretty straightforward - they asked the usual stuff, and asked about some low grades I had one semester. They didn't try to impress us as much as Mercer did. It was like they were saying, hey, we know we are a great school, we don't have to tell you that. It is very difficult to get in, one of the guys who was also interviewing was applying for the third time. And of course, UGA's campus is huge, but you can literally never leave the pharmacy school building if you don't want to (as one of the students said) because all your classes/classmates will be there.
South was quite different. I was surprised that the campus was literally 2 buildings. Once you are there they remind you throughout the day that they have a hard program because it's so compressed and to be prepared for that. There was an essay that we were instructed to complete during the duration of our stay. During the tour, the students didn't seem overly enthusiastic about their school, however, maybe that was their personalities. They were nice, just not very outgoing. South has some strict rules about not eating/drinking in classrooms, and a business casual dress code. The eating/drinking thing kinda surprised me. No water in classrooms? There were about 30-40 (I think, it was a lot) there, and each of us had an interview with 2 faculty members. It was very low key and the interviewers were very nice. In my second interview we did more talking than answering questions. All the questions I was already familiar with from SDN and my other interviews.
