Goto www.salary.com here you can find the salaries for dentist's based on the ZIP code..this won't give any details about starting salary....but gives avg high salaries of a dentist in various regions.

between 70G$ - to 100G$, depends mostly of the area you want to practice. undercervised - could be higher than 100G$

The average salary is around 80,000-100,000 on a 4-5 day week. but people do make 50,000-150,000. it depends where is your practice and how many patients , if they have insurance or just emergency care. mall practice compared to family practice.
also HMO vvs dental corporation other factors are also there.
Also depends on how many patients you see a day.
And you had asked on dental forum how do they hire on marks or experience, it is nothing on marks. doesnot matter if u have 4 /4 GPA but if u r not a good doctor patients dont come back
other way around if u have low GPA say 3.5/4 GPA but good doctor who listens to patients does good work word of mouth goes and patients will come to u and u make more money.marks are important only if u want to go for residency and masters.
hope this helps
